Fairview Farm has been in the Timm family for five generations. Mark's great-great-grandfather bought the farm in the 1870's. Mark and I (Laurie) have been farming since 1980 and selling vegetables since 1991. Our son, Ben, joined our farming operation in 2008 and is the sixth generation of the family to farm this land. We sell our vegetables and plants off the farm, at local farmers markets and to customers in southeastern Minnesota and the Twin Cities, including restaurants, bakeries and food co-ops. We work to leave the land in better condition each year and use earth-friendly farming practices in to produce our crops. It is truly a family farm with everyone pitching in. Our sons, Jonathan and Ben, are a vital part of our farming operation. Jonathan is working on the farm now after working several years as a mechanical drafter and will see if farming is the proper fit for him. Ben graduated from high school in 2007 and is farming in partnership with us. He is a vital cog in our operation and has many good keep us growing. We strive to bring you the best in quality and flavor while preserving the farm and the soil for future generations.
